HAIR EXTENSION CARE
Straight and Bodywave:
1) Fingercomb hair gently, followed by a wide toothed comb. Saturate hair with *lukewarm water followed by a mild shampoo. Run your hands through the hair in a downward motion. Rinse and repeat.
2) Apply hair conditioner to hair starting at the ends first. Gently work your way up and leave on the hair for the amount of time recommended by the manufacturer. Rinse in cool *water.
3) Gently squeeze hair starting from the top. Do not ball up or rub hair. Once this is done, use a towel and repeat this step again.
4) Comb the hair with a wide tooth comb, apply a leave-in, and comb again. If the hair is sewn into a unit, or are in bundles, lay the hair flat to air dry. Light heat may be used if necessary.
5) After airdrying, apply a light serum. Style as usual.
Curly and Kinky Curly
1) Mist hair with cool *water. Finger comb VERY gently followed by a wide toothed comb. Saturate hair with lukewarm *water. Apply a mild shampoo and run your fingers through the hair.
2) Apply hair conditioner starting from the bottom paying special attention to the ends. At this point use a wide tooth comb to do additional detangling. Rinse with cool *water until it runs clear.
3) Gently squeeze hair starting from the top. Do not ball up or rub hair. Once this is done use a towel and go through this step again.
4) Apply a leave-in and a product for curly hair. Using a gelee or mousse will work wonders to define the curl and prevent tangling. Curly hair will curl back onto itself and tangle if left product free.
5) Lay hair on top of a towel on a flat surface if not sewn down and introduce curl pattern back into hair by gently scrunching. If hair is sewn down use the plop method (Lay a towel down on a flat surface and turn your head over and lower onto towel. Wrap towel around your head. A cotton t-shirt is a great alternative.)
6) After about 30 minutes allow hair to airdry if using plop, or sit under a bonnet dryer on light heat.

* If you live in an area with hard water and do not have access to a water filter, bring your unit, wefts or have your sew-in shampooed by your stylist. Hard water will deposit minerals onto the hair that will cause it to tangle over time. If you are unsure, have your water tested.
